GENERAL INFORMATION AND CONDITION

1.0        HOW TO BOOK

             Just select the hotel of your choice and the numbers of nights you wish to stay.

2.0        BOOKING CONDITIONS

2.1        UMTC Travel will normally required reservations to be made at least 7 (seven) working days before date of check    in.   However, in circumstances beyond our control, your reservation might be on a request basis and final confirmation will  communicated to you as soon as possible but we we shall be in no way  be held to have guaranteed your bookings in anyway.

2.2        Arrival flight details and information are compulsory to secure the confirmed room reservations as certain hotels will  not entertain booking request otherwise, especially during peak seasons.

2.3        Rooms are held 6.00 pm daily (local time) and will be released by the hotel if there is no request for extension and UMTC Travels shall not be held responsible for such release of booking.

2.4        Any request for the room to held later than 6.00pm is referred to as a "GUARANTEED HOLD" and is subject to 1 (one)  night's room deposit.

2.5         Depending on seasonality and availability, all reservation made within 7 (seven)  working days before date of check in will require 1 (one) night's room deposit.

3.0          NO SHOW POLICY

3.1         1 (one) night's room charge will be levied upon no show by the hotel.  All consecutive night's booking will then be

automatically cancelled.  The balance of the room charge, if any will be refunded after a service fee of RM28.00 or US$7.00 has been levied, the unused UMTC Travel accommodation voucher has to be presented to effect the refund.

4.0         PAYMENT

4.1         Full payment is required on confirmation of booking in exchange for the UMTC Travel accommodations voucher which you are requested to present to the hotel upon checking in.

5.0         ALTERATION

5.1         Any  alteration of booking made within 7 (seven) working days prior to check in date is subjected to a service fee of

RM28.00 or US$7.00.  No charge will be levied if alteration is made more than 7 (seven) working days prior to the check in date.

6.0         REFUND

6.1         All claims on unutilized service must be submitted for refund within 3 (three) months from date of checking in to the hotel as stated in the hotel voucher.  Any claims after this period will not be entertained.  The processing fee is RM28.00 or US$7.00 for any refund on unutilized voucher.

7.0         INSURANCE

7.1         We recommend that you take a travel insurance policy which can be arranged through our Agents or representatives.

8.0         CANCELLATION POLICY

8.1         If  booking is cancelled within 3 (three) working days prior to check in date, a 1 (one) night's room charge will be

imposed.

8.2         An additional documentation fee of RM28.00 or US$7.00 will be imposed once invoice, documents and UMTC Travel accommodation vouchers have been issued.

8.3         The cancellation deadlines may also vary in certain destinations, depending on seasonality, hotel policy and prevailing conditions.  Such conditions will be communicate to you in advance, prior to acceptance of any bookings confirmations.

9.0          PRICES AND TARIFF VALIDITY

9.1          During peak season, certain hotels in various cities will required a guarantee of full payment for the whole duration booked, 7 (seven) working days prior to check in date.  Details of conditions will be advised at the time of the booking.

9.2          Category of hotels as indicated by the number of asterisks serve as a guideline only and is based on facilities offered and subject to changes  which are beyond our control.

9.3          All prices, tariff and rate quoted in this brochure are subject to change with or without further notice.

9.4          In certain cities, rates may be higher than what is available locally at the time of arrival, due to the communications and   promotional costs involved in the marketing of the hotel and UMTC Travel shall not be accountable for such differences.

9.5          The prices quoted are for accommodation only (inclusive of tax and service charge).  Breakfast is included for certain specified hotels only.

9.6          The company shall not be liable or responsible for special offers or promotional rates offered by hotels from time to time.

10.0         RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSE

10.1         UMTC Travel and its appointed agents act only as agents for hotel contractors and all vouchers are issued subject to those terms and contracts under which such services are provided.  They assume no responsibility for injury, damage, 

accidents, loss, delay or irregularities that may be caused to any person or property.  UMTC Travel reserves the right to

alter hotel accommodations in any way necessary in your interest, or due to circumstances over which the hotels  operator have no control.  The right is also reserved to cancel or withdraw at any time bookings made by, or for you, in which events no liabilities whatsoever in respect of such cancellation or withdrawal shall fall upon the operators and UMTC Travel save  only that there shall refund to you all monies paid by you in respect of the booking cancelled or  withdraw without any interest. 

10.2         UMTC Travel shall in no way guarantee the quality or any aspect of the service of the hotel chosen by you.
